Digital Pamphleteer
Digital Pamphleteer is a short documentary about political writer and blogger, Steve Benen. Benen’s blog, The Carpetbagger Report, offers political analysis and commentary from a politically progressive point of view, and is read by tens of thousands of people daily. Benen sees himself as a filter of political information, culling out what he thinks are the important things to know about the news of the day. He blogs relentlessly, usually 12 hours a day, seven days a week. Along with his work on The Carpetbagger Report, Benen also writes for Talking Points Memo, Salon, Crooks and Liars, and several other popular online political journals.

Digital Pamphleteer premiered at the Vermont International Film Festival in the fall of 2007, where it was awarded the James Goldstone Award by the Vermont Film Commission. Since then the film has played at the Green Mountain Film Festival, the White River Independent Film Festival and the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival, where it won the Best Short Documentary Award. Digital Pamphleteer was also awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2008 Alliance For Community Media Hometown Video Awards.
